The Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Central Florida (UCF) has two openings for postdoctoral research positions in computational/theoretical materials physics. The research will focus on one or more of the following topics: (i) Atomic-level understanding of the kinetics of solid-solid phase transitions,  (ii) First-principles design and discovery of synthesizable high-entropy materials for energy and electronic applications, and (ii) Development of new transferable physics-driven machine learning models for the fast and accurate prediction of material properties.  Other emergent materials research topics may also be explored.
