Open positions for Full Professor and Assistant Professor (in Quantum Science and Technology)
Nanyang Technological University (NTU Singapore) is aiming to recruit a full professor (with tenure) and an assistant professor (tenure track), in the research area of quantum science and technology.
These full-time faculty positions will be hosted at NTU’s School of Physical and Mathematical Science, Division of Physics and Applied Physics. The full professor position will also have a minority appointment at NTU’s School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
We are looking for independent and motivated researchers who are performing top-quality research in quantum computing, quantum sensing, quantum communication, quantum software, quantum algorithms, or related topics. Successful applicants will also be expected to teach courses and perform other duties typical of a faculty member at a leading global university.
Both theoreticians and experimentalists are welcome to apply. Moreover, we will evaluate applications regardless of age, race, gender, religion, marital status, family responsibilities, or disability.
For the full professor position, applicants must have a PhD in Physics or equivalent qualification, and a strong track record in research, securing competitive research grants, and mentoring junior researchers. The successful candidate will receive a substantial startup grant. Those interested are invited to apply directly at the NTU Career Portal.
For the assistant professor position, applicants must be early career researchers, holding a PhD or MD or equivalent degree, obtained within the last 10 years. The successful candidate will be eligible for NTU’s Nanyang Assistant Professorship scheme, which provides an enhanced startup grant and other perks. Interested candidates are invited to send their CVs to paprecruit@ntu.edu.sg. Further information on application requirements, such as required supporting documents, will be sent in a follow-up email.
