The Department of Physics at Oakland University is seeking candidates for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position starting on August 15, 2025. We are seeking a candidate working in experimental solid state physics with emphasis on microwave spintronics for neuromorphic and other nontraditional computing applications. Exceptional candidates working in other areas of experimental and theoretical solid state physics will also be considered. Preference will be given to candidates based on their capability of conducting independent externally funded research and on the extent of their teaching and research record. Candidates must demonstrate experience with or a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
