The Department of Engineering Sciences and Applied Mathematics (ESAM) at Northwestern University invites applications for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor in Applied Mathematics.

This is a one-year, non-tenure-track position with the possibility of renewal for a second year. Duties involve teaching and research in applied mathematics with a focus on applications in engineering and/or the sciences.

The Department seeks outstanding candidates who have received a Ph.D. degree in applied mathematics, engineering, physics or another applied math-related discipline, or who expect to do so by July 2024, and who aspire to engage in independent and interdisciplinary research and teaching. The starting date is September 1, 2024.
