We are searching for a collaborative faculty member with research experience in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning for Materials Design (tenure-track) and Quantum Materials Synthesis (senior hire). The ideal tenure-track candidate would develop new theoretical methods and computational tools based on artificial intelligence and machine learning to predict quantum, electronic, and magnetic properties of materials for next-generation applications. The ideal senior hire candidate would use a broad range of synthesis techniques to precisely engineer optical and electronic materials for future quantum device applications. These positions will be located in either the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry or the Department of Physics, depending on the qualifications of the candidate selected.
Successful candidates for the tenure-track position should possess an earned doctorate and post-doctoral experience, have a sustained record of research accomplishment, and evidence of the potential to generate extramural funding commensurate with their career stage.
