Education Program Associate 2 – Physics Lecture Demonstration Facility
The primary responsibility of the Education Program Associate 2 is to manage the Physics Lecture Demonstration Facility in the School of Physics and Astronomy.  This involves the preparation of physics lecture demonstrations used by both physics and astronomy instructors during their lectures for approximately 3000 to 4000 undergraduate students per semester.  New and existing lecture demonstrations need to be assessed in order to determine their effectiveness, or whether modifications to current practices are needed. In addition, the Education Program Associate 2 is responsible for research and the development of new lecture demonstrations. Another component of the position involves outreach efforts and managing and coordinating the student employees of the demonstration facility.
