The Department invites applications for Research Assistant Professorships (RAP), starting as soon as possible. Applicants should have (i) a relevant PhD degree; and (ii) research experience in areas in physics/materials science currently being pursued in the Department. 
 
The appointee(s) will work closely with faculty members who sponsor the RAP in the Department to enhance the existing strengths. Information about relevant research in the Department can be found at http://www.phy.cuhk.edu.hk/research/areas.php. The appointee(s) are expected to be able to secure RGC GRF grants and similar external competitive grants, and to undertake light teaching duties at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
 
Appointment(s) will initially be made on contract basis for up to three years, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
