Physics: Atomic and Molecular, Physics: Biophysics, Physics: Optics and Laser
The Institute for Quantum Science and Engineering at Texas A&M University (TAMU) in College Station, Texas is currently hiring theoretical and experimental graduate students and postdocs in QUANTUM OPTICS, LASER PHYSICS, and BIOPHOTONICS to work between our labs at Texas A&M, Baylor, and Princeton Universities. Theoretically, we work in several areas, including, e.g., laser physics, quantum thermodynamics, Bose condensation, quantum informatics, quantum optics in curved space-time, and biophysics. Experimentally, we are looking for applicants with broad experimental background in, e.g., diode lasers, high power and XUV lasers, Raman spectroscopic techniques, at-range detection fiber optics, and detection of biophysics, e.g., SARS-CoV-2 virus and antibodies, etc. Researchers will also perform calculations and analysis, assist in hosting Institute visitors, write technical manuscripts, prepare Power Point slides and presentations, and participate in and organize conferences, summer schools, and workshops. REQUIREMENT: Appropriate experience and earned PhD degree in Physics or related field. SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
