RESEARCH IN BARCELONA
ICFO (www.icfo.eu), a member of the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology, is a research center that conducts groundbreaking research in several areas of science where optics, photonics, advanced imaging and light-inspired tools and concepts play a role. The institute is undergoing a new expansion and therefore invites applications for Tenure-Track Group Leader positions from young scientists aiming to lead an independent research group.
We aim at supporting ambitious scientists with an innovative research program at the forefront of any areas of research that may flourish in ICFO's environment. Fundamental as well as applied research programs, including multidisciplinary topics, that can benefit from and complement ICFO’s core strengths in Nanophotonics, Biophotonics, Medical Optics, Green Photonics, Quantum and 2D Materials, and Quantum Technologies are welcome. Appointments offer suitable start-up packages, custom-designed laboratories in a new dedicated building with state- of-the-art facilities, and advanced engineering and administrative support.
Several positions are available. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the positions are filled.
Applicants are requested to send a brief statement of motivation and interests, a summary of research plans, full curriculum vitae, and contact information of four references, to:
Search Committee: NEST ICFO-Institute of Photonic Sciences. firstname.lastname@example.org
Inquiries for further information should be addressed to Professor Lluis Torner, ICFO director, at email@example.com
