The National Sun Yat-sen University in Taiwan has initiated a plan to establish a new Center for Theoretical and Computational Physics and recruiting up to 6 new faculties within the next 3 years. The newly hired faculties will be jointly appointed by the Department of Physics and other related departments. The Center invites applications in the areas of theoretical and computational physics and material sciences, in particular we welcome candidates from the fields but not limited to artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and numerical and large-scale simulations. The applicants must have a Ph.D. in physics, or a closely-related field, preferably with postdoctoral experience. The successful candidates will be required to pursue independent research programs and teach physics core courses at all levels. The starting date is Feb. 01, 2021 or Aug. 01, 2021, while the ranks of these positions are open, depending on qualifications. Please have a CV film (one combined PDF) with list of publications and plans of teaching and research sent to the attention of Ms. Emmy Wu (Email: firstname.lastname@example.org) at Dept. of Physics, National Sun Yat-sen Univ., Kaohsiung, 804, Taiwan.
Three letters of recommendation should also be arranged upon request. To receive full attention for the starting date at Feb. 01, 2021, the applications should arrive by Sept. 15, 2020. The position will remain open till the positions are filled. The late application for this round will be fully conceded during next round of reviewing for starting on Aug. 2021, which has a deadline on Dec. 31, 2020.
