Chemistry, Engineering and Technology: Materials, Physics: Materials
USM's REU program is a ten week summer program targeted at current undergraduates entering their sophomore – senior year, interested in research in polymer science for a sustainable future.
Participants will be engaged in fundamental research projects that span the complex, interdisciplinary facets of materials sustainability, including polymer synthesis from renewable sources, materials with enhanced properties and lifetime, materials to improve utilization of natural resources, reduced energy polymer processes, and biodegradable materials, while gaining the tools to assess the environmental impact of new material development.
The program will run from Tuesday, May 26, 2020 - Friday, July 31, 2020. Benefits include:
