Benedictine College is seeking a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Physics to start in August 2020. Desired qualifications include a strong commitment to teaching and the desire to mentor undergraduate research. We are a liberal arts school offering majors in both physics and astronomy. Teaching duties will include advanced courses for our majors, service courses for engineering and other science majors, and general education classes. The area of research interests is flexible, but the ability to provide research opportunities for undergraduates is expected. The Department of Physics and Astronomy currently has four full-time members and is housed in a STEM building that has just completed a $25M expansion and renovation.
Benedictine College seeks faculty members eager to engage and support our mission. Application materials should discuss how you might contribute to the college’s Catholic, Benedictine liberal arts identity. To apply, please visit https://www.benedictine.edu/jobs/physics-faculty for instructions.
Review of applications will begin December 2 and continue until the position is filled.
Benedictine College welcomes applications from candidates of all backgrounds. The College is committed to assuring equal opportunities in employment without regard to race, color, gender, marital status, national origin, age, disability or veteran status.
