The Physics Department at Clarkson University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in experimental materials physics (including surface/condensed matter), as part of a university wide cluster hiring initiative in chemical mechanical planarization or a closely related field. The candidate’s research should also supplement the department’s existing strengths in condensed matter physics. Required qualifications include a PhD in Physics, an outstanding record of accomplishments, evidenced potential for excellence in teaching, and strong communication skills. The successful candidate will be expected to establish a vigorous externally funded research program, effectively teach undergraduate and graduate physics courses and contribute to departmental service activities.
