A postdoctoral research associate position is available for working on a multi-year research project that involves collaboration between University of Texas at Dallas, Zyvex Labs and National Institute of Standard and Technology (NIST). It aims to develop miniaturized scanning probe devices for high-throughput STM-based atomically precise manufacturing as well as new modes of imaging and lithography.
The candidates should have a strong background in scanning tunneling microscopy. Previous experience with UHV STM is a requirement. Experience with Silicon is a plus. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in a host of projects, supervise graduate and undergraduate researchers, write reports and manuscripts, attend international conferences and prepare proposals.
The applicants should have a PhD in experimental physics or a closely related field. The position is available immediately and includes a competitive salary and fringe benefits package. Interested applicants should contact Dr. Reza Moheimani at Reza.Moheimani@utdallas.edu with a detailed CV, including a list of publications, and names and contact details of three references.
