The Department of Physics in the College of Arts and Sciences at American University invites applications for a term faculty appointment for Academic Year 2019-2020. Rank will be dependent on experience and stature in the field. The appointment is a 9-month term position and will commence on August 26, 2019.
Qualified candidates will have a doctorate in physics or a closely related field. The position will require the incumbent to teach the equivalent of six undergraduate physics courses at the introductory and advanced levels. The successful candidate will be prepared to advise and teach students, mentor undergraduate research, and perform department and college service.
