AIP Publishing is looking for an Assistant Production Editor to join a new in-house publishing operations team. The role supports AIP Publishing and the Publishing Partners. The Assistant Production Editor will need to:
performs quality control checks all journal production, books and Conference Proceedings
reviews author/editorial corrections to ensure the corrections are consistent with style guidelines
proofreads files to ensure accuracy in applying author and Content Editor changes
performs quality control checks of journal articles and Conference Proceedings, as assigned by the Production Editor or Senior Production Editor
documents meeting notes for distribution
collects data from our content management and other systems and assist with reports
performs online publishing and issue end processes
Job Location and Qualifications:
This role will be based in AIP Publishing’s Long Island offices in New York and, as such, candidates must have the right to live and work in the United States.
A Bachelor’s degree, in English, Communications, or Business Administration or the equivalent work experience is a must as are excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Experience in book, media, or scholarly publishing and a familiarity with research publication in physics-related journals is desirable.
