You could be thehighly motivated individual to be part of our dynamic team consisting of coordination, scheduling, and technologist personnel focused on ensuring operational readiness of Z shot experiments. You will work with multi-disciplinary, multi-organizational teams to capture, track, synthesize, as well as report information for the proposed shots.
On any given day, you may be called on to:
Help coordinate the development and maintenance of an integrated Shot Development Plan (SDP) with the experimental teams.The SDP includes a schedule of key activities for designing and preparing load hardware, targets, diagnostics, subsystems, and pulsed power capabilities.
Facilitate identification and analyses of risks for activities being completed in time for the planned shot day; creates and maintains a Shot Risk Register (SRR).
Collaborates with staff and management to establish and implement risk mitigation plans.
Synthesize and present planning and status information of the SDP and SRR to enable transparency, awareness, decisions, and/or action on a weekly basis.
Facilitate a shot retrospective to flow lessons learned back into the shot lifecycle processes.

You will have a Bachelor's and Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) or equivalent experience in an engineering, math, or science field
Experience with designing, planning, and executing projects
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex system issues and ideas to customers and stakeholders at all levels
Experience in teaming across multiple disciplines
Knowledge of Z operations and interactions and/or its user base
Demonstrated knowledge of and experience implementing Sandia policies affecting projects and initiatives
Experience with first line workers in an industrial and/or experimental setting
Experience with Work, Process, & Controls as well as Environment, Safety, & Health planning
