The Department of Physics, Astronomy & Materials Science at Missouri State University (MSU), located in Springfield, MO, seeks applications for a non-tenure track instructor position. The successful candidate in this position will teach introductory physics courses for science majors and physics and science courses for education majors in the Department of Physics, Astronomy and Materials Science. Courses taught will include introductory physics and science education courses, and may include introductory astronomy depending upon the education and experience of the faculty member. Participation in the College of Natural and Applied Science STEM education committee and advising and mentoring physics majors taking the teaching prep physics option will also be required. The position requires a masters degree in physics, physics education, education with an emphasis in physics, or a masters degree in another field with at least 18 credit hours of graduate-level coursework in physics and/or astronomy.
