Applications are being accepted for a research associate in quantum computing and cryogenic logic research at the Laboratory for Physical Sciences (LPS), located at the University of Maryland at College Park (www.lps.umd.edu). Research will focus on superconducting qubits, quantum phenomena in resonators, and fluxon (soliton) dynamics for reversible digital computing. This position provides opportunities to collaborate with other quantum computing researchers at the LPS, and a wide breadth of experts at the University of Maryland Physics Department and the Joint Quantum Institute. Candidates should have M.S. or Ph.D. Degree in physics and expertise in superconducting devices or compensating expertise in condensed matter and quantum coherent systems. In addition to low-temperature research experience, applicants should have experience in the following areas: superconductivity, computer programming, fabrication, RF electronics, and physics theory. Interested candidates are invited to submit an electronic application to Dr. Kevin Osborn (email@example.com , www.physics.umd.edu/~kosborn). Applications should include a CV and a list of publications. The University of Maryland is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity employer and particularly welcomes applications from women and members of minority groups
