The Department of Physics at National Sun Yat-sen University, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, is seeking team-spirited and mission-oriented scientists of pedagogical inspiration to fill several faculty positions in the general areas of astrophysics, condensed matter physics, optics, biophysics, and materials physics. The expected starting date is 02/01/2020. Qualifications include a Ph.D. in physics or a closely-related field, demonstrated interest in mentoring students, abilities to teach physics core courses at all levels with some lectured all in English, and capabilities to secure external funding for independent research. Some postdoctoral experience at international institutions is preferred for junior-rank applicants.
