The Department of Physics invites applications for one or more full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty positions in Experimental Quantum Information Science (QIS), as part of a $15M investment in the new Illinois Quantum Information Science and Technology (IQUIST) center. Physicists from all subfields of QIS, including computation, communication, and sensing, and working with various platforms (e.g, solid state, AMO, fundamental or applied), are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate is expected to teach effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, have a strong publication record, and to lead a vigorous research program at the cutting edge of the field.
