The University of Michigan-Dearborn (UM-Dearborn), a regional campus of the University of Michigan located in the city of Dearborn, Michigan, seeks an experienced leader to serve as the next Chair of the Department of Natural Sciences within the College of Arts, Sciences, and Letters. The Department offers programs in biology, chemistry, and physics, and the interdisciplinary areas of biochemistry, earth science, environmental science, and microbiology. The Chair will work in close partnership with the Dean and the other department chairs during a time of unprecedented growth within the University.

The successful candidate will be an intellectual leader and a distinguished teacher, scholar, and innovator who brings a passion for students, research and service, and will demonstrate effective interpersonal and managerial skills and a commitment to undergraduate education by maintaining a high-quality learning environment for students.
