This postdoctoral position is a temporary position for up to one year, which may be renewed at Sandia's discretion up to five additional years. The PhD must have been conferred within five years prior to employment. This role offers the opportunity to join a diverse, world-class team, from the Computational Mathematics, High Energy Density Physics Theory, and the Electromagnetic Theory Departments. This effort is partially supported by a DOE Advanced Scientific Computing Research (ASCR) and an ASCR / Office of Fusion Energy (OFES) SciDAC Partnership grant. Department Description: The Computational Mathematics Department (01442) conducts research in computational and applied mathematics motivated by science and engineering applications of interest to Sandia National Laboratories and the U.S. Department of Energy. Members of the department interact and collaborate with a broad range of Sandia and DOE staff and also maintain a research presence in the external professional community by collaborating with universities and industry, publishing peer-reviewed literature, participating in professional societies, and refereeing and editing for journals.
