The Department of Chemistry at Indiana University (https://www.chem.indiana.edu/) is seeking outstanding applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level to start in fall 2024. A Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field and postdoctoral experience are required.
Successful candidates will be expected to develop a visible, externally funded research program. We anticipate making one hire to address research priorities in measurement science, including but not limited to analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, biophysics, and biochemistry, but outstanding applications in any subfield of chemistry will be considered, especially those that would increase the diversity of our faculty.
Primary teaching responsibilities will be consistent with the expertise of the successful candidate and will include both graduate and undergraduate courses. Review of applications will begin November 1, 2023 and will continue until the position is filled.
We seek candidates who are committed to and have demonstrated excellence in scholarship. A Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field and a substantial record of research accomplishments are required. Primary teaching responsibilities will be consistent with the expertise of the successful candidate and will include both graduate and undergraduate courses.
