Our US-based personnel provide local sales and service for North American product inquiries, purchase processes, installations, and support.
Essential Job Functions and Duties:
Technical sales of the SPECS and UNISOKU product lines to customers in USA and Canada.
Respond to incoming requests, advise customers by engaging in technical discussions and meetings, provide quotations, conduct sales negotiations, prepare and submit formal bid requests, and work with customers and colleagues to successfully pursue and close sales opportunities.
Proactively pursue new business by identifying and contacting potential customers.
Manage designated sales leads, prospects, opportunities, and customer relationships.
Interact closely with the scientific community and present products at conferences and exhibitions.
Frequent travel is required, primarily to USA, Canada, Germany, and Japan. (Travel to other regions may occasionally be necessary.)
Required Qualifications:
Degree in a science or engineering field (e.g. physics, engineering, materials science, chemistry).
Experience in a surface science field, particularly UHV LT-STM, ARPES, and/or XPS.
Must be able to communicate with customers and colleagues effectively and professionally, including written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Must be fluent in English.
Ability to manage, organize, and prioritize one’s time, projects, and communications.
Ability to work flexibly within a small company environment.
Ability and desire to travel both domestically and internationally.
Existing authorization to work in the USA, and ability to pass background check for customer site access.
Valid driver’s license and passport are required.
Desired Qualifications:
Ph.D. in a science or engineering field (e.g. physics, engineering, materials science, chemistry).
Technical/research experience with SPECS and/or UNISOKU equipment or similar.
Successful sales experience with equivalent to one or more of SPECS and/or UNISOKU product lines.
USA citizenship, to enable timely access into restricted customer facilities.
