Furnace Operator Job Duties:
- Prepare schedules, equipment, metal, and molds prior to furnace operation.
- Verify piece count, straightness, and flatness of parts before and after heat treatment.
- Load furnaces according to material type and quantity guidelines.
- Melt and pour alloys into molds following strict procedures and work instructions.
- Operate computer systems to log calibrations, production reports, and process control records.
Pay:$26.33-$35/hr, depending on experience
Furnace Operator Requirements:
- At least 1 year Prior experience in a foundry environment.
- Ability to work in high-temperature environments and handle molten metal safely.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise procedures.
- Comfortable working with heavy equipment and lifting up to 50 lbs.
