Position Overview
The EHS Manager will lead environmental health and safety initiatives within our organization, focusing on compliance with environmental regulations and promoting sustainable practices. This role is essential in ensuring that our operations align with corporate programs and procedures, enhancing our environmental performance while maintaining safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement environmental programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to evaluate environmental performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead investigations related to environmental incidents and develop corrective action plans.
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies regarding environmental compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Manage hazardous waste, wastewater discharge, and air quality standards to minimize environmental impact.
  • Oversee spill prevention measures and ensure readiness for emergency response situations.
  • Provide training and resources to staff on environmental policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with corporate teams to integrate environmental considerations into operational processes.
  • Maintain professional affiliations and stay updated on industry standards and regulatory changes.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in environmental health and safety management, preferably in an industrial setting.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations including TPDES, Title 5, and TECQ.
  • Experience with environmental audits, investigations, and program development.
  • Proven track record in managing compliance and improving environmental performance.
  • Excellent communication skills and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Self-starter with initiative to drive environmental programs and engage teams effectively.
  • Relevant experience in power plant or industrial facility environments is preferred.
