We're looking for a Layout Technician who's ready to take their expertise in dimensional layouts, capability studies, and inspection processes to the next level. In this role, you'll work with cutting-edge tools, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and play a key part in delivering exceptional results for our customers.
What You'll Do:
- Gage Precision: Use calipers, micrometers, hardness testers, comparators, CMM and more to ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Own the Process: Oversee the PPAP process, including dimensional layouts, Gage R&R studies, and capability studies. While working closely with our PPAP coordinators.
- Stay Ahead: Conduct annual revalidations and internal quality assessments to meet internal and customer standards.
- Collaborate: Work closely with Program Managers, Quality Engineers, and Lab staff to align on quality goals.
- Contribute to Innovation: Learn new measuring devices such as Keyence vision system, CMM, automated compression and extension testers.
- Gage Calibration: Help manage gage calibration and tracking processes, ensuring all calibrations are completed on time.
- Laboratory Testing: Assist with metallurgical lab testing and contamination analysis.
What We're Looking For:
- A strong foundation in Statistical Process Control (SPC), GD&T, and mechanical inspection techniques.
- Experience with Vision Systems and Optical Comparators for detailed inspections.
- A knack for numbers and technology, with proficiency in SPC tools, Plex ERP software, and Microsoft Office.
- At least 3 years of quality control experience or a related field.
- Ability to stay focused under pressure while delivering accurate results.
- High School Diploma or GED (Formal quality measurement training is a plus!).
- Confidence in working independently and taking ownership of your responsibilities.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Formal quality measurement training
- GD&T and blueprint reading
- Associate Degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering Technology, or a related field
- Gage Track experience
- Trained in Gage R&Rs and Capability studies
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience with hand measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and comparators.

Role involves a mix of standing, sitting working on a computer, and moving between workstations. Can also involve going onto the floor looking for gages and helping out with quality issues when needed.
