Statistician: Responsible for research and analysis of existing mathematical models and algorithms of complex enterprise solutions with emphasis on performance, memory usage and scalability. Use of operations research, mathematical modeling, theory of algorithms and data structures analysis to achieve memory capacity utilization across multiple machines in a computer cluster. Analysis of parallel data processing by applying lock-free algorithms for concurrent queues and data transmission, using networking/remote DMA technologies. Evaluation of a system performance based on multi-criteria optimization by using strong quantitative analysis and optimization modeling. Address challenges with existing mathematical models and algorithms, as well for integration and development multilayer memory resources distribution dynamic model across multiple machines in a computer cluster.
Required: Strong skills in analytical and mathematical techniques - theory of algorithms, data structures, discrete mathematics, linear and dynamic programming. Proven experience with mathematical modeling tools - MatLab. Documentation for gap analysis and client presentations (UML required). Strong understanding of wait-free/lock-free synchronization approaches and use of lock-free algorithms for concurrent queues (Kai Hwang, Faye A. Briggs methodologies, Gottlieb and Mellor-Crummey algorithms, etc.). In-depth ANSI C and C++ programming experience for Linux systems. Solid experience with scripting languages (Perl, Python, shell, bash). Strong understanding of Linux kernel, device drivers, memory management concept (swapping, Caches and VM). Strong understanding Linux network stack/network programming, raw sockets, client-server concept, IPC, pre-emptive scheduling, multithreading, prioritization and real-time applications. Detailed knowledge of secure network protocols / VPN (Virtual Private Network) technology (IPsec, PPTP, L2TP, SSL). Extensive experience Linux profiling tool & performance monitor: perf, OProfile, Valgrind, etc. Prior experience with networking tools: Wireshark, tcpdump, Nmap, etc.. Experience working with GNU autotools packages (i.e. autoconf, automake, and libtool). Solid experience with Linux debugging tools such as KGDB, GDB, ltrace, strace. Experience with code versioning system (GIT) as a code repository. Must have a Master of Science degree or U.S. equivalent in Information Systems Engineering or Computer Engineering, plus two years of experience as a Statistician or related occupation.
